I’m Seyede Faezeh Hosseini, a PhD researcher at Ghent University (UGent) in collaboration with Flanders Make, focusing on the testing, sensing, and thermal modelling of electric machines, particularly induction motors. My research brings together fiber-optic and conventional temperature measurements, reduced-order 3D FEM thermal models, and inverse techniques for parameter estimation and loss identification, all supported by dedicated experimental campaigns. I’m especially interested in practical diagnostics and data-driven condition monitoring, and I enjoy connecting academic research with industrial applications, including a recent validation case study with Atlas Copco.
